The Main Building of the museum reopened.

Since the FY 2011, based on the “Basic Plan for the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum Displays” which was developed in July 2010, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum has been carrying out the comprehensive renovations with the aim to convey the reality of the atomic bombing and inhumanity of nuclear weapons.

Following the reopening of the East Building in April 2017, the Main Building of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum reopened on April 25, 2019, and the whole renovation process of the museum has been completed; it enabled visitors to access all permanent exhibitions of the museum.
