The museum is open today 7:30-19:00 (Last entry is 30 min. before closing time)
Notice to Visitors Planning to Visit During the Obon Period
The museum currently receives a large number of visitors, and can become very crowded depending on the day of your visit.
As we expect even more visitors during the Obon period (August 10 to August 18), we kindly ask you to refrain from visiting during this time if possible.
The 7:30-8:30 and 18:30-20:00 time slots (August) (17:30-19:00 in July), which require reservations through website, tend to be less crowded and allow you to explore the exhibit at your own pace. We highly recommend scheduling your visit during these times. Please note that admission during these times is only available to those who have purchased tickets in advance through our website.
Web tickets can be purchased here.
Visitors with other purposes* may enter the museum without waiting in line for tickets. (*Attending special exhibitions, Talks by A-bomb Legacy Successors/Hibakusha Family Member Legacy Successors, or participating in guided tours by Hiroshima Peace Volunteers, etc.)
