Information on “PEACE MAIL”

Since 2006, we have offered the 'PEACE MAIL' service, allowing visitors to drop a postcard into the 'PEACE POST' mailbox located in the information lounge on the first floor of the East Building. Your postcard will be postmarked with a design featuring the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims.

Our hope is that by jotting down your impressions of the museum exhibits and your thoughts on peace on a postcard, and sending it to your family, friends, or even to yourself, you will deepen your understanding of the atomic bombing and peace, and sharing the spirit of Hiroshima with those who receive it.

Note:

1. Postcards and stamps can be purchased in the Museum Shop.
2. PEACE POST is exclusively for posting stamped postcards. Please do not drop anything other than postcards into it.
