Since the FY 2011, based on the “Basic Plan for the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum Displays”, developed in July 2010, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum has been carrying out the comprehensive renovations to convey the reality of the atomic bombing and inhumanity of nuclear weapons in more accurate ways.
The East Building reopened, along with the completion of its renovation process.
From today, the Main Building is closed for renovations and reorganization of the permanent exhibits.
