The Museum conducts various projects as follows including testimonies and lectures in order to pass down the experience of the A-bomb survivors and to raise awareness about the importance of peace.

Talks by A-bomb Legacy Successors/ Hibakusha Family Member Legacy Successors
Legacy Successors took over the A-bomb survivor’s experience and give testimony on behalf of them. The lectures are offered to groups if requested, while they are regularly held in the Museum. For more detail, refer to the following:

What are A-bomb Legacy Successors? As the A-bomb survivors are growing older and the number of testifiers are accordingly decreasing, Hiroshima City has been cultivating successors since the FY 2012 to pass down the survivors’ stories and wishes on their behalf. The A-bomb Legacy Successors who currently offer lectures have completed the training course and started their activities in the FY 2015.
What are Hibakusha Family Member Legacy Successors? Hiroshima City has been cultivating the hibakusha's family members as the successors since the FY 2022 to inherit and convey wider variety of their stories and wishes on their behalf. |
