The horse with the cart seemed to have been blown by the blast; it was hanging over the railing of the bridge. The driver's head was caught between the cart and the railing, and his eyes were popped out; he must have died instantly.

Looking down as I crossed the bridge, I saw vast numbers of people filling the river from the bank to the middle of the river.
