Soon after the bombing, Hatsue Takeda (then, 15) bled a lot from the nose and was unconscious with a high fever for several days. Her hair began falling out right after she regained consciousness. In the middle of September, she lost all her hair. She spent days crying over her hair and wore a hood until it grew back.
