Man speaking in front of the camera about life during the war and his A-bomb experience In his home in Hiroshima City December 2014

In 1986, the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation began recording the testimonies of A-bomb survivors on video for future generations. So far, the testimonies of over 1,000 A-bomb survivors have been recorded. Since 2003, the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims has also been recording testimonial videos, including testimonies from survivors living overseas. Recently, young people have begun putting A-bomb survivor videos up on the web.
