If the A-bomb hadn’t been dropped, thousands would have been spared miserable deaths, and survivors wouldn’t have had to carry such sad memories.
Although the materials introduced in this exhibit are only a small fraction of the museum’s collection, we hope that you were able to accept many memories as your own.
The experience of those who lost their precious families on that day and then agonized in despair is so painful we can't begin to imagine it.
“No one else should ever suffer as we did.”
We hope you will think deeply about how to connect with the memories of the ordinary people who experienced the atomic bombing.
