The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum collects and preserves atomic bomb artifacts that have been kept by survivors, their bereaved families, and others in order to convey the reality of the disaster wrought by the atomic bombing. In the last fiscal year (April 2020 – March 2021), the museum received 307 items from 41 donors, and 100 pieces among them are currently on display.
