A naked woman with her skin hanging down long

Around 8:30 AM, August 6, 1945 1,500 m from the hypocenter
At the riverside road of Otagawa River, Nakahiro-machi
Drawn by Kawanishi Tsuneo (31 at time of bombing, 61 at time of drawing)

Her very white skin was impressive. It was as white as egg whites. Her appearance has changed into such a miserable condition; she must have been outside. Her hair all singed. I thought she would have cried in pain, but she didn’t. Stunned and with no words, she was just sitting in the corner of the road.
