3-1-7-2Foreign students from Southeast Asia on a rescue bus

Around 10 to 11 AM, August 6, 1945
2,060 m from the hypocenter Senda-machi 3-chome In front of Hiroshima Technical School
Drawn by Minoru Ozaki

At the time of the bombing, Minoru Ozaki was on his way to school and near the east edge of Minami-ohashi Bridge. After fleeing to the ruins of Hiroshima Technical College, he boarded a rescue bus, where he recognized two students from Southeast Asia. He knew them because his house was near the dormitory where they lived.

A bus and a fire engine came to rescue us. I was the only one who got on the bus. I looked up front and saw two international students from the south.
